Terms & Conditions — Quoted-Price Service Agreement

Please read the full agreement below before submitting your acceptance.

1. Scope of Services

Swept Cleaning Company (“Swept”) provides residential and commercial cleaning services as described in the client’s booking confirmation, written estimate, or agreed scope of work. Services not included in the agreed scope require client approval and may incur additional charges. Clients must disclose special cleaning needs before the appointment.

2. Quotes, Service Estimates & Fixed-Price Billing

Swept provides a written bid or quote describing the cleaning scope, service location, included tasks, quoted total, and any stated assumptions or exclusions. The client must approve the quote before service is scheduled. The approved quoted price, rather than hours worked or the number of cleaning representatives assigned, is the amount billed for the agreed scope. Any estimated service duration is for scheduling purposes only; finishing earlier or later does not by itself change the quoted price. Taxes or other charges, if applicable, will be identified before acceptance. If conditions materially differ from information supplied for the quote, or the client requests additional work, Swept will explain the change and obtain approval of a revised price or written change order before performing additional billable services. Swept will not charge more than the accepted quote for the original scope without the client’s agreement. If a client declines a proposed change, Swept may complete only the feasible original scope or discuss rescheduling or cancellation, subject to applicable law and agreed terms.

3. Quote Acceptance, Payment & Past-Due Balances

A quote becomes an agreed service price only after the client accepts it. A $50 booking deposit is due at the time of quote approval to reserve the appointment. The $50 deposit is credited toward the approved quoted price, not added to it. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining quoted balance (approved quoted price minus the $50 deposit and any other payments or credits) is due upon completion of the agreed service. For a quoted price below $50, the deposit will not exceed the quoted price. If the deposit is not paid, the appointment is not confirmed. An invoice unpaid two calendar days after its due date is past due. Swept may suspend future appointments until outstanding balances are paid. After the two (2) calendar-day grace period, a late fee of five percent (5%) of the total approved quoted job price per day will be assessed for each additional calendar day the invoice remains unpaid, but only to the extent permitted and enforceable under applicable California law. No late fee will be charged to the extent it would constitute an unlawful penalty. Collection costs, attorney’s fees, or other charges are recoverable only when legally permitted and supported by an enforceable agreement. A card on file will be charged only under a separate valid authorization.

4. Gratuities

Tipping is optional and appreciated. Clients may leave a separate gratuity at the property or add one through an available authorized payment method.

5. Recurring Quotes & Skipped Appointments

For recurring cleaning, the accepted quote will identify the price per visit, cleaning frequency, and scope covered. The quoted recurring price assumes the agreed schedule and ordinary maintenance conditions. Skipped visits, extended gaps, substantial changes in property condition, or changes to requested services may require a new quote for a future visit. Swept will disclose and obtain approval of any revised price before performing the affected work. No retroactive increase applies to a previously completed visit solely because it took longer than estimated.

6. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled appointment start time to cancel or reschedule. If Swept does not receive that notice, the $50 booking deposit will be forfeited, to the extent permitted by California law, as reasonable compensation for documented or reasonably anticipated costs and losses associated with reserving the appointment, such as scheduling and otherwise unfilled appointment time. The forfeiture is not intended as a penalty and applies only if this term was disclosed and accepted when the quote was approved. Swept will not retain more than the amount lawfully recoverable; any remainder will be refunded or credited as required by law. If timely notice is provided, the deposit will be applied to the rescheduled service or refunded if the booking is canceled, unless another lawful arrangement is agreed in writing. If Swept cancels and cannot provide the agreed service, the deposit will be refunded. No additional late-cancellation fee is imposed under this section. Swept may decline future appointments after repeated late cancellations.

7. Property Access, No-Shows & Delays

Clients must provide safe access at the scheduled time, whether by being present, a secure lockbox, a key, or an authorized entry code. If access is unavailable, Swept may wait up to 20 minutes while attempting contact and may then reschedule or cancel. A client no-show, including failure to provide access or respond within that waiting period, will result in forfeiture of the $50 cleaning deposit to compensate Swept for reasonable costs and losses associated with the reserved appointment and the cleaning representative’s time, to the extent the charge is enforceable under applicable California law. The deposit will not be forfeited where prohibited by law or where Swept is responsible for the missed appointment. Any additional waiting-time charge must be separately disclosed in advance, legally permissible, and must not duplicate costs covered by the forfeited deposit. Delayed access may shorten the available cleaning time; additional services or charges require the client’s approval where applicable. Clients are encouraged to use secure access methods.

8. Quality Concerns & Re-Cleaning

Please identify concerns during any offered walkthrough and report overlooked areas as promptly as possible, preferably within 24 hours after service. Swept will review the concern and, where appropriate, offer a complimentary re-cleaning of affected areas, generally within one to three days of the original appointment, subject to access and scheduling. Re-cleaning is Swept’s preferred first remedy, but this policy does not eliminate refunds or other remedies required by applicable law. A walkthrough does not waive nonwaivable rights.

9. Damage, Fragile Items & Valuables

Clients should secure fragile, unstable, unusually valuable, or improperly mounted items and identify items not to be touched. Please report suspected damage promptly, preferably within 24 hours of discovery, with photos if available. Swept will review each incident based on the facts, applicable law, and available insurance. Swept does not ordinarily clean inside display cabinets or move unsecured collections unless expressly agreed.

10. Laundry & Delicate Fabrics

Laundry is performed only if included in the agreed scope. Clients must identify and separate dry-clean-only, delicate, or specially treated items and communicate care instructions. Swept will review any reported laundry damage based on the facts and applicable law; this section does not waive legally protected rights.

11. Health, Safety & Specialized Cleaning

Clients must disclose known hazardous conditions, including bodily waste, blood, exposed sharps, pest infestations, significant mold, drug paraphernalia, and excessive clutter. Swept may pause or decline work requiring specialized training, protective equipment, or disposal procedures. Biohazard or hoarding work requires separate assessment and written pricing; any example hourly rate, hazard fee, or disposal fee must be expressly quoted and approved before work. Swept will not undertake regulated remediation unless properly qualified.

12. High Areas & Equipment

Swept may use extension dusters but does not routinely provide ladders or step stools. Clients should identify high areas in advance. Swept may decline tasks that cannot be performed safely with available equipment.

13. Company-Booked Services & Independent Arrangements

All services booked through Swept must be scheduled and paid for using Swept’s authorized procedures. Services independently arranged outside Swept are not provided or guaranteed by Swept and are not covered by its service guarantees or company-provided insurance coverage. Swept is not responsible for the scheduling, payment, quality, or obligations of those separate arrangements. Nothing in this section is intended to restrict rights protected by California law.

14. Cleaning Representatives

Swept coordinates assignments, scheduling, client communications, and payments for company-booked services. This agreement does not determine any representative’s legal worker classification.

15. Photographs & Privacy

Swept may document conditions, work, or damage when reasonably necessary and legally permitted, taking care to avoid unnecessary personal information. Swept will obtain separate affirmative permission before publishing identifiable photographs of a client’s property for advertising, its website, or social media. Refusing marketing consent does not prevent booking.

16. Quote Renewals, Price & Policy Changes

Swept will provide at least five calendar days’ advance notice of proposed pricing changes for future recurring appointments, where practicable, and will obtain the client’s agreement before applying a new price. Accepted one-time quotes and already confirmed appointments will not be increased for the original agreed scope without client approval. Quotes may include a stated expiration date; an expired or materially changed scope may require a new quote. Material policy changes will be communicated as applicable, and changes requiring consent will be subject to that consent.

17. Applicable Law & Severability

California law governs this agreement, subject to applicable mandatory protections. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent legally permitted. Nothing in these terms limits nonwaivable consumer rights.

18. Customer Acknowledgment

By signing or checking the acknowledgment box through the website, I confirm that I received and reviewed these Terms & Conditions and agree to the terms applicable to my booking. I understand that separate consent is required for stored-card charges and promotional photographs. An electronic signature or acknowledgment is effective only when captured through a process that records the accepted version, date, and customer assent.
